Anderson Silva vs Vitor Belfort not happening at UFC 109

The news gets even worse for UFC fans hoping to see their injured middleweight champion Anderson Silva returning this February 6, against Vitor Belfort. It looks like he will not be ready for UFC 109, after recuperating from elbow surgery.
MMAJunkie.com is reporting that the champion will not be back in time to face Vitor Belfort at UFC 109 and will probably not return until April at the earliest.
“At the end of the day, it’s going to be a great fight,†Soares said. “Like I said before, I don’t think [Belfort] deserves a title shot, but that’s over with now. It is what it is. Whoever the UFC puts in front of us, we’ll fight. We’ve never picked our opponents.â€ÂÂ
